Characteristic
Black drawn wire is produced through the thermal treatment of low-carbon steel wire, involving heating in a furnace to a specific temperature and duration to achieve the required mechanical characteristics.
We can also apply oiling to the hardened wire at the customer's request. This additional treatment protects the wire from corrosion and facilitates its use in various applications, providing better protection and extending its lifespan.
Wire Production LTD produces black drawn wire using SAE1006/SAE1008, according to standard EN 10218-2:2012.
*If the customer requests, the wire can also be made from high-carbon steel.
